On 06/12/25, RFO trainees visited Century Pulp & Paper, Lalkuan, to understand social forestry initiatives such as pulpwood plantations, clonal nurseries, and buy-back support to farmers. The visit demonstrated how industrial plantations contribute to reducing pressure on natural forests while promoting sustainability and rural livelihoods. In the afternoon, trainees visited the Forest Research Centre, Lalkuan, where they learned about ongoing research activities and explored the Aromatic Garden, gaining exposure to diverse medicinal and aromatic plant species.
