A four-day training programme on the production techniques of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant (MAP) species was successfully conducted at the Uttarakhand Forest Training Academy, Haldwani from 01 to 04 June 2026 for Van Panchayat Sarpanches and Secretaries from the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand. The programme included classroom sessions and field-based practical training on scientific cultivation methods, nursery management, value addition, and sustainable utilization of medicinal and aromatic plants. The training enhanced participants’ knowledge and skills, contributing towards biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and community-based natural resource management.
