On 7 November 2025, the programme commenced with a soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the Academy choir. The trainees sang the original stanzas — “Sujalam, Suphalam, Malayaja Shitalam…” — creating an atmosphere filled with deep patriotism and reverence for the motherland.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, the patriotic hymn that ignited the spirit of India’s freedom movement. To honor this historic occasion, Uttarakahnd Forestry Trantrining Academy, Haldwani organized a commemorative event celebrating the song’s legacy of unity, courage, and national pride.

Trainees presented musical renditions and group recitations, portraying the emotional and cultural depth of Vande Mataram. The event highlighted the journey of the song from Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s composition in Anandmath to its role as a symbol of India’s struggle for independence.

The programme inspired Trainees to value their heritage, motherland, and democratic ideals. It was not just a celebration, but a heartfelt tribute to the timeless spirit of India —
